How does MSF witness the on goings of a war or catastrophe in a given country? Do MSF teams raise awareness about the populations they are helping?
MSF teams travel to places that many people have never heard of. When MSF volunteers return from their missions, they use their experiences to speak of what they have seen. MSF sees this as an important role. Whenever possible, MSF volunteers give interviews while our communications teams make presentations, compile publications, send press releases and organise exhibitions. MSF missions are no secret and MSF is ready to describe the situation in any context if this does not risk the safety of its volunteers in a given country. Witnessing is an essential part of MSF work
