Despite the ceasefire, people in Gaza are still not safe

Donate now to save lives

Despite the ceasefire, people in Gaza continue to suffer deeply. After two years of relentless war, People in Gaza are exhausted, displaced, and facing a cold winter without basic necessities. Families are struggling to survive without clean water, enough food, or safe shelter, while also living under the constant threat of intermittent attacks across the Strip.

MSF IN GAZA

More than one million people are still being forced to survive on a tiny patch of land, and in dangerous living conditions, in southern Gaza. They live in unsafe shelters, exposed to the cold, and struggling to survive amid intermittent attacks. The destruction of homes, hospitals, water, and sanitation systems is creating the perfect storm for disease and illness to spread.

As a result, diseases linked to these dire conditions now account for 70% of all MSF outpatient consultations, including severe diarrhea, respiratory infections, skin diseases, and malnutrition.

MSF remains committed to working around the clock to provide care to people in Gaza. Our teams have been providing surgical support, wound care, physiotherapy, maternity and paediatric care, primary healthcare, vaccinations, and mental health services.

MSF remains committed to working around the clock to provide life-saving medical care to people in Gaza.

"We see many people with large open wounds, burns, or external fixators who are living in tents without proper hygiene, waste management, or climate control. Infections that would normally be preventable are now common, leading to worsening health conditions and repeated hospitalisations."
– Adi Nadimpalli, MSF medical coordinator.
